Bollards - Rebounding, Bounce-Back Bollards
Sylvester's offers Rebounding Bollards, also known as Bounce-Back Bollards. Typically, these bollards are less expensive than in-ground, steel filled cement bollards and typically more durable. AND, they protect better while at the same time causing less damage to the vehicle that hits it saving dealership Policy Expense.
How it works: During a collision with a bollard, the energy of the impact is progressively absorbed by an elastomer in the base of the bollard. The post tilts slightly with impact and then returns upright, leaving the guard intact and ready to perform again. Their strength rivals that of traditional embedded bollards with lower costs and less hassle.
